Dan Schmit has inspired creativity, research, and academic expression through the Apple Distinguished Educator program and through his work at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. He has authored 3 books: GarageBand Mechanics, Kidcast: Podcasting in the Classroom, and Kidcast: Creative Podcasting Activities. Dan has taught vocal and general music, worked as a staff developer and curriculum writer. He is a frequent presenter and clinician at state, regional and national instructional technology conferences and workshops. Dan is also the host of a companion podcast, also called "KidCast: Podcasting in the classroom" (http://www.intelligenic.com/kidcast) which explores new tools, solid strategies, and creative angles on bringing Web 2.0 technologies to the classroom. |
